Leaving on a jet plane

Leaving on a jet plane, don't know when we'll be back again....Just kidding, yes we do! Heading out for seven weeks. Back end of October. Looking forward to returning to the continent of Africa, last visited in 1999---but this time to visit several countries in southern Africa we have yet to explore (3000 miles from those plagued with EBOLA).

We will be volunteering in Zambia for 2 weeks (see map below), then joining up an adventure tour group for 22 days (Victoria Falls to Cape Town), before having a week on our own in Cape Town and surrounding area. Below gives you context of where we will be. Rest will roll as we go! Hope you check the site and enjoy following our travels. I plan to blog and share pictures weekly, as practical. It's possible during the tour portion of trip, that our internet options will be much more infrequent.

Have a great September and October. Cheers and Shalenipo (Zambian for Goodbye),
Susan and Aaron

From our tour itinerary:......"Experience the extremes of southern Africa's landscapes on this journey from the thunderous Victoria Falls to cosmopolitan Cape Town. Travel down lush waterways in the enigmatic Okavango Delta, cruise past elephants and birds on the Chobe River, climb giant sand dunes in Namibia, camp to the sounds of Africa's wildlife and spot big cats, rhinos, zebras and antelopes on Etosha National Park's arid plains. Visit the people who make their homes here, from cheerful delta mokoro polers to the fascinating San Bushmen. Get ready for this unforgettable tour through a land of contrasts".
Sounds pretty awesome don't you think? We do!
